Membership

The Centre is for older people who live in their own homes and would like some social company.

You can join either through a social work assessment or by private arrangement.

See the How to Join page for more information.

This is usually based on a needs basis and would be assessed once attending.

Staff can give you advice on who and where to contact for financial advice.

Please contact us for more information.

There is a members’ social fund which is funded by donations which pays for extras at the moment.

If you have a private arrangement we can offer half days, but you may need to have your own transport. If attending through social work they do not offer this arrangement at present.

Facilities

Staff will assist you with this.

There is a walk-in wet room with a shower and a seat if needed. There is a bath with a chair hoist that staff would supervise in and out but then leaving you to enjoy your soak until you’re finished.

There is a secure door entry system to the building.

Transport

We cover a radius of 6 miles from Montrose, anything out with that would require your own transport arrangements.

We have a 13-seater minibus and a 6-seater people carrier, both are equipped with steps, tail lift and handrails.

Absolutely.

Other

If someone needs support with any personal care staff will assist.

There is tea/coffee and toast on arrival, a 2-course home cooked lunch and snacks throughout the day. Hot and cold drinks are available all day.

We can’t administer medication, but we can prompt.
