Staying active and social is an essential part of healthy aging.
At the Adam Centre we offer a selection of activities to enjoy every day. We understand that everyone is unique, and it’s completely up to you how much you want to participate. When you first join the Centre, we’ll make a point of discovering your personal likes and requirements. This way, we can make sure that everyone has the best day possible.

A typical day at the Adam Centre
Each day is unique in its own way, but to help you get a sense of what a typical day might look like, let’s walk you through what usually happens.
9:30-10:00am
All the members arrive, some are dropped off individually and others arrive via the minibus we provide for collection and drop off.
9:30am onwards
Breakfast of tea, coffee and toast is available to anyone who would like it.
9:30-11:45am
Activities – members are free to join in, or do their own thing.
12:00-1pm
Lunch is served. Our in house team prepare tasty and nutritious two course meals on site.
1:15-2:45pm
Activities – members are free to join in, or do their own thing.
2:45pm
Members are served tea, coffee and a home bake.
3:15pm onwards
Members begin to leave the Centre, some are picked up by friends or volunteer drivers, others leave on the Centre minibus.
Food & drink
Our on-site catering team cook delicious lunches daily – we can accommodate special dietary requirements.
Tea, coffee and water is available all day and members can have a light breakfast when they first arrive in the morning.
Haircutting and personal care
We have our own on-site salon room and a visiting hairdresser, so you can get a trim or try a whole new style when you are visiting the Centre!
Our staff can also help you with other personal care tasks such as a manicure. We have a walk-in shower and an accessible bath available for members to use with staff on hand to assist if you require or to use on your own if your home shower or bath has become difficult to access.
